How To Protect Your Introvert Energy With A Minimalist Business Model

Reduce overwhelm, save time and boost your productivity with a minimalist business model.

You know that calm, in-control, spacious (is that even an emotion?) feeling you get when you’ve just done a major decluttering in your home? You feel powerful, happy and basically just awesome right? Wouldn’t it be amazing to feel that way in your business too?

For a long time, like a VERY long time, I was feeling overwhelmed and unproductive in my business. No matter how hard I worked I never seemed to get everything done and I had very little to show for all my hours spent slaving over my to-do list. I felt like I was failing and that feeling trickled over into the rest of my life.

Then one day, after a very satisfying decluttering spree, I was standing in my kitchen contemplating the benefits of minimalism and feeling quite calm and accomplished. I suddenly realised that I needed to feel this way in my business too.

I needed to feel calm and in control. I needed to know exactly what to work on each day. And I needed to create a business model that was realistic for the number of hours I actually had to work.

This realisation led me to create a minimalist business model for myself and friend, it has changed my life!

If you’re feeling overwhelmed and not making the progress you want in your business perhaps a minimalist model is exactly what you need too, to finally get rid of overwhelm, save you time, boost your productivity and start seeing the results you’ve been hoping for.

So what do I even mean when I say ‘minimalist business model’ you ask?

For me, a minimalist business means looking at where you want to be and creating the simplest, most time efficient way to get there, always keeping in mind how many hours you have available to work.

A minimalist business model should allow you to consistently complete everything on your to-do list whilst making money and should have the ability to scale as your capacity and time availability increase.

It could look different for everyone because each of our businesses are unique but the common foundation is systems that are simple, streamlined and scalable with a big emphasis on protecting your peace of mind and work / life balance.

A basic minimalist funnel I suggest for entrepreneurs who are still trying to earn consistent income can look something like this…

Free offer (customer relationship catalyst) - something customers really want that introduces them to you and your work. It should be valuable, solve a specific problem and lead them to join your email list. For example: checklists, challenges, email courses, how-to guides etc.

Low-priced offer - research has shown that customers are much more likely to purchase your higher price products / services when they’ve purchased something from you before, so make it easy for them with a valuable, low priced offer).

Mid-priced offer - this is optional but can be a good stepping stone that leads directly to your signature offer.

Signature offer - your main source of income and a higher price point. For example: a course, coaching, product package etc.

Your customers sign up for your freebie and are introduced to you and your tiered offers through a nurture sequence of emails.

The beauty of this simple funnel is that most of it can be automated so you can spend your time and energy focusing on visibility, content creation and actually delivering your services. When your capacity increases you can scale this system by adding more offers and even more funnels. This process follows my success framework - simplify, streamline, scale.

The important thing to remember is that a minimalist business model is created according to how much time you have available and what products / services you offer.

This way you know exactly what you need to do each day, your to-do list never gets out of hand and you can earn consistent income whilst actually enjoying your life.

Does a minimalist business model sound like just what you need too?

Here’s to your stress-free success!
