How To Quickly Declutter Your Business To Increase Productivity

Reducing clutter in your business creates mental space and saves you so much time.

Oh the clutter a business can amass! All it takes is a quick glimpse of our computer files for most of us to realise that we’ve accumulated A LOT of content that may or may not have ever been used. Are you a content hoarder too?

I’m definitely guilty of creating content that I never share and signing up for freebies that I never end up utilising. And I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in this.

Then there’s all the content that is no longer relevant. The graphics we’ve already used. The courses we partially completed. The copious notes of brilliant ideas we never took action on because another brilliant idea came along and took its place.

Business clutter looks different for everyone but most of us are definitely living with a level of clutter that isn’t necessary and that inhibits productivity.

Studies have shown that there is a strong correlation between stress, anxiety and clutter. This doesn’t just refer to physical clutter. It also means mental clutter which, as entrepreneurs, can often be more burdensome. Running a business is hard enough without adding the unnecessary trigger of clutter too.

What do you think? Could your business do with a good decluttering?

I remember standing in my kitchen one day after doing a major clear out of my home. I felt calm, in control and capable and I thought to myself, I wish I felt this way in my business too! At the time my business was not profitable and it was stressing me out to the point that I’d convinced myself I just wasn’t cut out to be an entrepreneur. I was obviously focusing on the wrong things.

That moment, standing in my kitchen, was a turning point for me. I did a major overhaul that started with decluttering every aspect of my business and the result was finding the mental space I needed in order to get my creativity, motivation and energy back.

Friend, you would not believe how good it feels to declutter your business. Seriously, it’s almost better than cheesecake!

Think about all the areas of your business. There are so many ways you can declutter, simplify and create mental space.

  • Social media

  • Content consumption

  • Content creation

  • Digital files

  • Your offers (products / services etc)

  • Even your systems

When you really think through the details of your business you might be surprised by how much you can simplify in order to increase productivity and grow your profits. You’ll no longer be wasting time on a million different tasks and distractions. Instead, you’ll know exactly what to focus on so you can start earning consistent income.

I’m rooting for you,
